EDGE 2008
A topic of the second EDGE conference was "Collectivity". The event was scheduled on September, 12th in Brdo Congress Centre, close to capital Ljubljana. The speakers were Danil Türk, President of the Republic of Slovenia, Miroslav Radman, Prominent Croatian biologist, Itay Talgam, Israeli orchestral conductor, and Morten Lund, Danish investor.
The topic was inspired by and evolved from the new emerging trends of COLLECTIVENESS in the 21st Century. Everything from the human body to an entire society is a delicate mixture of varying networks – from the interconnectedness of the biological structure of our body to the interdependent relationships between social, economic, and political structures within a society. The conference explored the interconnectedness of various networks and their influence on individuals, economies, and entire societies.
